Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2: Will the Anime Series Return with The Next Chapter?

While it first appeared that Darwin’s Game and Dorohedoro would be the most popular anime of winter 2020, Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun suddenly overtook them. It was a joyful surprise in more ways than one when the supernatural comedy anime about the exuberant spirit Hanako-san and his sidekick, Nene, turned out to be a tremendous success. However, anime’s future is still uncertain.

Even though the first season of Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun: Season was published in 2020, a second season has yet to be officially confirmed years later. Although there isn’t an official explanation, given how well the anime performed, a second season appears to be just a matter of time.

Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2 has not yet been officially confirmed. However, we anticipate that it will be confirmed soon. Due to the series’ current popularity, we now estimate that it will have a second season, but not until late 2022 or, as is more likely in our opinion, 2023. Toilet-bound Hanako-kun has not yet been renewed for a second season.

What Is Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun: Season 2 About? (Spoiler Alert)

Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2

If Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun: Season 2 were to start at a certain chapter, it will begin at chapter 36 as that is where the anime concluded. However, there’s a very good probability that Studio Lerche will repeat its first-season practice of skipping entire story arcs and rearranging key plot points.

However, if we are only discussing the plot, it will begin directly after the group has returned from the Hell of Mirrors. Nene attends the Tanabata celebration, but due to some weird circumstances, she finds herself 50 years in the past. It’s interesting that she runs across Hanako-kun when he was still alive, who still acts like it’s just another day at school. Nene becomes confused and begins investigating what is going on and why she is there.

Which Studio Is Making Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun: Season 2?

Though it’s too early to guess which studio may helm Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun: Season 2, Studio Lerche (Classroom of the Elite), who previously brought the manga panels to life, should once more be doing so. Fans would be in for a real treat if they could see Hanako-kun’s distinctive style of art again since it stood out from other anime.

The series reportedly has over 8 million copies in circulation. On the one hand, the anime had a great run and ultimately increased the popularity of the property, but on the other, it could have been so successful that the producers may wish to maximize manga sales. If that turns out to be the case, they might not be as keen to produce a sequel right away.

Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 1 Review:

Critics gave Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 1 high marks. It appears that critics will give Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2 high marks. At the conclusion of the first season of the television show Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, we saw that Nene had discovered there were paranormal creatures hiding in her photographs at the time she was going through the gardening club’s records.

Hanako-kun, Kou, and Nene decide to abide by their requests until they are met in order to get rid of them. Then, one by one, they start to vanish, but it also seems as if the final one wanted to allow Nene within its limit. Although Tsukasa saves Mitsuba and Nene from the Hell of Mirrors, could the erratic spirit have worse in store for them?

Hanako and Kou rush to find a means to follow Nene at the same moment, but it’s unclear if they’ll be able to do it in time. Nene later returned from the Hell of Mirrors unharmed, but she is still concerned about what Hanako could be keeping from her.

Strange fish then come, addressing her as their princess and inviting her to join them as the new mermaid. See what happens after that.

Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun’s second season is expected to pick up where the first one left off in terms of its storyline. We will update this page if we learn of any new information on the second season’s storyline of the television series Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun.
