Moon Knight: Who Is He?
The backstory of the character is entertaining. Moon Knight debuted in Werewolf by Night in 1975, created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin. He’s worked with the Avengers, the Secret Avengers, and the X-Men, including She-Hulk, since then. Moon Knight will concentrate around Marc Spector, a former boxer who becomes a marine and eventually a mercenary unless the MCU goes back and entirely rewrites his origin story.
He’s offered a chance to redeem himself by becoming a god’s avatar on Earth after being connected with the Egyptian gods (it’s a lengthy story!). He refers to himself as “The Fist of Khonshu,” after the ancient Egyptian god of the moon Khonshu. He also has several alter personalities and is frequently compared to Batman from DC Comics.
The character possesses ambiguous abilities. He has the abilities of a soldier thanks to his military training, but when it comes to being a superhero, things are a little fuzzy. He has a high pain tolerance and depending on the situation, his numerous identities help or hinder him in fighting others (dissociative identity disorder is suspected). Also, because his abilities are derived from the moon deity, they are subject to lunar cycles.
But he does have a cool costume! Parts of his outfit are composed of adamantium (the same material as Wolverine’s claws), and he wears a massive cape to assist him to fall gracefully from tremendous heights.

Jeremy Slater is the host of the show. Slater has been chosen to conceive and manage the writing team for the new series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Slater is the creator of The Umbrella Academy, a Netflix comic book adaptation. He was also a co-writer for the Fantastic Four film from 2015.
For years, Marvel has been attempting to produce a Moon Knight film or television series. Before the MCU was even a thing, Marvel contemplated bringing Moon Knight to the small screen with a series back in 2006. That, however, did not work out. James Gunn, the director of Guardians of the Galaxy, then revealed that he had pitched a Moon Knight film, but it was never made.
