Erased Anime Season 2: Release Date and Updated Status

We’ve all had times in our lives that we wish we could go back and fix. Our lives would be vastly different today if we could relive some of our most memorable moments in a more positive light. Suppose, on the other hand, that your motivation for going back in time has nothing to do with you or your own interests?

One concept that can do wonders in an anime is time travel. However, the time travel sci-fi theme has become overused in anime and even in western films in recent years. It’s amazing how a well-executed time travel plot can still hold our attention, even after all these years.

“Boku Dake ga Inai Machi,” or “Erased,” is a great example of how to bring in something new to this recurring theme. The protagonist of ‘Erased,’ in contrast to most other sci-fi anime protagonists, is riddled with flaws. Many factors, such as his foolishness and his terrible memory, combine to make his ability to travel through time an unwelcome burden. As a result, it’s refreshing to see that the anime’s protagonist makes far too many mistakes.

It’s as good as any other sci-fi anime out there in the first half of season 1. The story, character development, and new time-travel concepts are all excellent. This half of the season was responsible for the show’s astronomical popularity and the ensuing flurry of requests for more episodes.

Erased Season 2 Plot

erased season 2

When in danger, Satoru Fujinuma, a twenty-nine-year-old mangaka apprentice, automatically travels back in time by a few minutes, giving him the opportunity to avert disaster and often save someone’s life. Satoru, on the other hand, returns home one day to find his mother’s body on the ground and is charged with her murder by the police.

Trying to save the victim, he uses his power, which causes him to be catapulted back in time to 1988 when he was in elementary school, where he finds himself. By indicting a friend of his mother’s killer, Satoru decides to try to save the life of his old classmate, Kayo Hinazuki, who had mysteriously disappeared during the time that his mother’s killer had been kidnapped and killed three children.

Erased, the manga and the anime, have a plot summary in the paragraphs above. As we’ve stated, the anime didn’t adapt every single page of the manga, but it did adapt the entire story, so we’ve seen both the beginning and the end of the manga. If anything, Erased: re did not help the story much in this regard.

We don’t know what the second season of Erase would be about because of this. This would necessitate an entirely new story, and since Kei Sanbe doesn’t appear to be planning another manga or anime season, we doubt that we’ll see any more of Erased in the near future.

Erased Season 2 Release Date

The first season of Erased, which aired from January 8 to March 25, 2016, had twelve 25-minute episodes that followed the manga of the same name by Kei Sanbe. In spite of the fact that the anime didn’t adapt every single page of manga, we’ve already seen the main storyline of the manga in animated form.

Because the manga by Kei Sanbe was so short, we don’t know whether the show will continue with new material (sequel material, not Sanbe’s Erased: re spin-off) or not. Erased currently appears to be more of a one-off than a long-term series, so a renewal seems unlikely.

Erased Season 2 Trailer

In light of what has been said thus far, it is safe to assume you have come to the conclusion that there will be no Erased season 2 trailer, simply because the season hasn’t been announced yet and we have our doubts about it being announced any time soon. We don’t expect to see a new season of the anime because the manga’s ending was adapted into the anime. According to our perspective, the writers would have to come up with an entirely new storyline.
