“The anti-vax, anti-lockdown, covid conspiracy one is in such an incredibly selfish and privileged position. Woody Harrelson and those who support such nonsense can only do so because they are in good health, a Twitter user wrote. “Nobody who has endured Covid’s pain or lost loved ones speaks like that.”
The Glades and Psych author and TV writer Lee Goldberg expressed his viewpoint on Twitter.
“Thank you, @nbcsnl, for the dull anti-vax monologue by Woody Harrelson. Who will be the guest host the following week, Scott Baio? Schneider, Rob Mr. Kevin Sorbo? While you’re at it, why not invite Kanye back?” he suggested.
“Rant makes it sound like he did it randomly without permission when this definitely sounds like a thing that was written and on cue cards,” comedian and TV writer Ashley Ray tweeted in response to this.
Jerry Houston, the host of iHeartRadio, tweeted that Woody Harrelson “actually” admitted to being a stoned redneck. Moments before he delivered his anti-vax message, he actually said as much. and yet those people are now gushing over him like he’s some sort of authority? wow ok.”
