Raegan Revord, Star of “Young Sheldon,” Talks Openly About Being T-Boned in A Dui Accident Before Shooting an Episode

Before Thursday’s show aired, the 15-year-old actor said on Instagram, “I experienced full-blown panic attacks and PTSD for weeks after the tragedy.”

Raegan Revord, who plays Young Sheldon, is talking more about a terrifying event she had before shooting Thursday’s show.

The 15-year-old actress said on Instagram on Thursday that she and her mother had been in a vehicle accident in the past, which made it challenging for them to work on the most recent episode of the show.

She said on Instagram that “Tonight’s show was really tough for me to film, personally.” “A drunk motorist rear-ended my mom and me while we were traveling to work.”

The irony of this situation is that I spent the majority of this adventure in a car, but as they say, “you need to get back on the saddle,” she said.

Young Sheldon's Raegan Revord Was T-Boned in Car Crash Before Episode

After the collision, Revord acknowledged that it was “tough” to film because the tragedy had a long-lasting effect on both her physical and emotional health.

She added, “The only reason I was able to get through it was because of the most loving and supportive cast and crew. I experienced full-blown panic attacks and PTSD for weeks following the accident.” They kept in touch with me along the journey and never gave me the impression that finishing the filming was more important than my health.

Revord informed fans that despite the horrific event, she was still looking forward to working on Thursday’s episode, especially after reading the script, and that she hopes viewers would love it.

She referred to actress McKenna Grace, with whom she co-starred in the episode and who was tagged in the Instagram photo, as saying, “When I read the script I remember being so excited to film it and being even more excited to film it with my friend (who was also instrumental in getting me through some of those tough times- love you, Kenny).

The prequel spin-off of The Big Bang Theory on CBS, titled Young Sheldon, chronicles the life of Sheldon Cooper, a character from the popular show, as a 9-year-old child prodigy residing with his family and attending high school in Texas.

Iain Armitage played the lead in the series, which debuted in 2017 and ran for two years before The Big Bang Theory, which debuted in 2019.

In the show, Revord portrays Missy Cooper, Sheldon’s twin sister. Grace portrays Paige Swanson, a similar kid prodigy to Sheldon, who he competes with at school.
