Matty Healy of the 1975 Was Spotted at Taylor Swift’s Nashville Eras Show Amid Romance Rumors

The singer was photographed watching Swift perform at Nissan Stadium in Tennessee on Friday night.

Fresh off his own tour, The 1975’s Matty Healy was photographed at Taylor Swift’s first Nashville Eras concert.

After The Sun claimed Wednesday that the singers are dating, fans began to buzz online earlier this week.

Healy, 34, was photographed by concertgoers watching Swift, 33, play at Nissan Stadium in Tennessee on Friday night.

Swift and The 1975 representatives did not immediately respond to calls for comment. The two were said to have dated in 2014, however, Healy has previously denied this. Swift and Healy have known each other for years and have worked together before, with Grammy-winning producer Jack Antonoff.

Swift’s breakup with actor Joe Alwyn after six years of dating was revealed by PEOPLE a few weeks ago, with sources suggesting they split a few weeks beforehand. Since mid-March, the Midnights singer has been touring the country for her Eras tour.

A source close to the Grammy winner and Conversations with Friends actress told PEOPLE that the split was sparked by “differences in their personalities.” Meanwhile, Healy previously dated FKA twigs for nearly three years until parting in early 2022, as well as model Gabriella Brooks from 2015 to 2019. On Thursday in Manila, his band completed the Australian and Asian portion of their tour in support of their latest album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language.

Swift made a surprise cameo at The 1975’s first of two gigs at London’s O2 Arena in January. Swift stunned the audience when she appeared onstage during a break in the act to play the title single from her Midnights album, as well as a version of The 1975’s “The City.”

Matty Healy of The 1975 was spotted at Taylor Swift's Nashville Eras show amid romance rumors.

Healy stated in November that he and his bandmates worked with Swift on material for her latest album Midnights, but that whatever they came up with didn’t make the cut.

“We actually worked a bit on that, but the version never came out,” the musician stated in an interview with Audacy’s DTS Sound Space with KROQ’s Klein/Ally Show.

After the audience booed Healy’s announcement, the “Happiness” singer defended Swift, saying, “That’s not how it works.” “It was for reasons that are not to be criticized,” he continued. “She’s amazing.
