Jimmy O. Yang is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor from the United States. He is most known for his roles in the HBO comedy series Silicon Valley as Jian-Yang, Dr. Chan Kaifang in the Netflix comedy series Space Force, and Josh Lin in the Netflix romantic comedy film Love Hard (2021).

Yang was born in Hong Kong during the British occupation. His parents were both born in Shanghai but later relocated to Hong Kong. Yang’s family immigrated to the United States in 2000, when he was 13 years old, and resided in Los Angeles, California. His aunt and grandmother were already in the United States; his parents joined them primarily to provide Yang and his brother, Roy, with greater educational opportunities.
