American singer, songwriter, and producer Stephanie Lynn Nicks (born May 26, 1948) is well-known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist.
After beginning her career as a duo with her then-boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham and releasing the unsuccessful album Buckingham Nicks, Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac in 1975 and helped the group become one of the best-selling musical bands of all time, with more than 120 million records sold worldwide. The band’s second album with Nicks, Rumours, went platinum in the US and went on to become one of the best-selling albums ever.
Nicks launched her solo career in 1981 while still a member of Fleetwood Mac, releasing the studio album Bella Donna, which peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 and is now certified multiple platinum. She has seven studio albums with Fleetwood Mac and eight studio albums under her own name; these albums have collectively sold 65 million certified copies in the US alone.
Stevie Nicks Illness
STEVIE NICKS has a thriving solo career in addition to her involvement with Fleetwood Mac. She became the first woman to be twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame thanks to her contributions to the music business. But soon after her second induction ceremony in 2019, the 73-year-old celebrity was admitted to the hospital.
Along with Christine McVie and the band’s male memes, Stevie helped Fleetwood Mac become one of the best-selling musical acts of all time. She went on to enjoy success as a solo artist with hits including Edge of Seventeen and Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around. Stevie has had to be cautious about where she plays and how many gigs she can physically do as she gets older, despite all of her success.
Most recently, in August 2021, the artist canceled a number of concerts across America out of concern over COVID-19. The singer said in a statement at the time that her main objective was to maintain good health so she could perform for at least another ten years. There are difficult choices to be made in these difficult times. The singer, who was born in Arizona, had to take special precautions with her health in part because she had double pneumonia.

What Are the Symptoms of Pneumonia?
Stevie “knew that something was off” on the evening of her second induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Stevie recalled the moment her health took a terrifying turn in a candid interview with Variety back in October 2020.
“I knew something was off before I went on stage, so I had to really pull it together,” she added. I ended up spending a week in the ICU at the hospital in Philadelphia after being seriously ill the next day with double pneumonia and asthma.
“And speak about your oxygen levels dropping; they were hardly there for me. If a ventilator were to be used on me, For the remainder of her life, my mother had hoarseness from being on a ventilator for a month.

The “tiny air sacs” in your lungs, known as alveoli, are affected by pneumonia, a form of chest infection, according to the British Lung Foundation.
You have difficulty breathing when these air sacs are irritated and filled with fluid from pneumonia. When the illness affects both lungs, it is referred to as “double pneumonia”.
Although there are more than 30 different causes of pneumonia, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine, community-acquired pneumonia is the most prevalent type.
This occurs when Streptococcus pneumonia, a bacterium, infects a person who is not currently hospitalized with pneumonia. It typically happens when the body is compromised in some way, such as through disease, inadequate nutrition, aging, or decreased immunity, and the germs are able to enter the lungs.
