Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger recently assured that the data he has access to internally indicates that the technology industry will continue to suffer from the semiconductor production crisis at least until 2023.
Gelsinger said that, despite the demand numbers are on the rise, companies like Intel will continue to have enormous difficulties to put on the shelves several of its products already announced due to the impact of the COVID pandemic-19. However, the executive is also convinced that each quarter will bring improvements in this chapter.
Intel is at this stage trying to regain its dominant position in the market after being overtaken by the big rival in the PC market – AMD – and having ceased to be the main supplier of chips for Apple when Tim Cook’s company decided to move towards its Apple Silicon processors.
