Jake and Liberty from Love Island Secretly Tried Their Relationship Again Outside the Villa.
The split of Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole, the villa’s seemingly strongest couple, was one of the most shocking moments of last year’s Love Island. But now, months after the couple left the show, it’s been revealed that Jake and Lib secretly rekindled their relationship in the UK.
‘We decided to give it a shot. We were talking, but we had to agree that we weren’t right for each other,’ Jake said in an interview with The Sun, before disclosing the last time they spoke. ‘When it was announced she was on Dancing On Ice I sent her a message saying, “Well done Lib”. “Thank you,” she replied, and that was the last time I spoke to her.’
The reality star insisted that his feelings for Liberty were genuine and that he was heartbroken when she decided to end their relationship. ‘I only had one girlfriend before her, my childhood sweetheart,’ he explained. It was my first time being dumped, and it hurt. We were planning a vacation together and arranging to meet each other’s families one minute, and the next it was over.’

Jake, who left the villa with Liberty after the breakup, also told the newspaper that the break-up was less dramatic in real life. ‘The break-up looked very different on TV than it did in real life,’ he added. ‘We had a conversation, kissed, and made up, but only part of that conversation was shown on television.’
Liberty is currently competing on ITV’s Dancing On Ice, but she recently decided to help her fans who were interested in applying for Love Island. ‘So I’ve had quite a few messages [in my DMs] asking about my audition tape for Love Island and stuff now that applications are back open, so I thought I’d just jump on here and help everyone out,’ Liberty said in an Instagram story video. ‘I believe you should just be yourself. if one of the aforementioned things. Also, I believe in thinking outside the box.’
