TMZ published photos of the “Girlfriend” singer-songwriter hugging rapper Tyga after sharing a meal at Nobu restaurant earlier this week. The photos sparked dating rumors between the two musicians, but according to a source, “Avril and Tyga are nothing more than friends. There was no involvement of a third party in the split.”
In a statement, a Mod Sun representative tells PEOPLE: “They were together and engaged three days ago when Mod left for his tour, so anything new is news to him. The mod will be performing tonight at The Hawthorne Theater in Portland.”
