Hank Green revealed his diagnosis of the blood malignancy Hodgkin’s lymphoma in a 13-minute video that was posted on the platform on Friday.
The previous few weeks have seen a number of instances when this has become increasingly tangible. “This is the important one,” said Green, 43.
“I became aware of the size of my lymph nodes. I spoke with my physician. It’s probably nothing, she said. We’ll have an ultrasound done on you. The ultrasound technician said, “I’m going to go get a doctor,” after I had an ultrasound.

He was scheduled for a biopsy right away, according to the YouTuber, which revealed the cancer diagnosis.
“You don’t expect things to move quickly when you’re in the American health care system,” he continued. “It doesn’t work like that. It doesn’t appear that way, though. It’s actually very unsettling when it begins to become a little efficient.
According to the Mayo Clinic, lymphoma symptoms might include itchy skin, exhaustion, fever, night sweats, and painless swelling of the lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, or groin. In the immune response, the lymphatic system is essential because it transports white blood cells that fight infection to different regions of the body.
Green said he’s “not really looking forward” to beginning chemotherapy, but he expects to do so “very soon” and is grateful for his solid support network.

“Every hour I have invested in friendships has been pleasurable in the moment and wise in the long run,” he said. “Even when they have been difficult, to try and keep them strong, and even when I have been busy, to try and spend time with them. In the past several weeks, I’ve really needed friends, therefore I’m thankful to have them now.
In addition, Green reassured his supporters that he keeps an optimistic approach and will “play it by ear” in terms of his forthcoming endeavors.
Despite the fact that other than minor stiffness after the biopsy and perhaps because my lymph nodes are large, I don’t feel sick at all right now.
I don’t have any of these symptoms. I feel great. Green said, “I don’t even really feel tired.
