The thirteen-time ROH Tag Team Champion lost his life in a head-on crash car collision.
According to the police, two people died in this accident on the spot, one was a woman who was in the other car that collided with Jay’s truck and the other was Jay himself. Police say she drove directly into the path of Briscoe’s truck, resulting in the head-on collision. The accident had reportedly happened in Laurel, Maryland.
Briscoe had two of his daughters with him, one being 12 years old and the other being 9. The girls were critically injured and were rushed to the hospital as soon as the police rescued them from the truck.
Tony Khan took the news to Twitter and wrote, “Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today.
