“I’ve always had a darker sense of humor, but I never felt like I was able to express that,” the actress said in a recent interview with Vogue.

Jenna Ortega is totally embracing her goth side.

In a new interview with Vogue published on Wednesday, the actress talked about her sense of style and how it has evolved since she was cast in the popular Netflix series.

The 20-year-old Ortega stated, “I’ve always respected goth culture.” Even though I’ve always had a darker sense of humor, I’ve never felt comfortable sharing it. These days, I feel like I can value such things about myself.

Ortega, who wore a number of looks from Wednesday throughout the most recent awards season, also discussed how the show and her part encouraged a change in haircut and, consequently, greater risk in her whole presentation.

Ortega said, “I was really, really attached to my long hair up until then.” “Changing it encouraged me to be more adventurous; to experiment, and to be more creative in that way.” The actress was recently chosen to represent the Gris Dior fragrance.

“That was really exciting,” she remarked to Vogue. “Throughout the entire process, I felt like I could follow my gut instinct and do whatever felt authentic and natural to me,” the participant said.

Ortega took a little piece of Wednesday to the 2023 SAG Awards earlier this year.

The actress donned a sculpted bodice all-black Versace gown. Her waist was tightened, and a belt with the Versace brand’s distinctive gold fastening was used to cinch the high-low hemline. Tiffany & Co. jewelry, along with a pair of black platform shoes, completed the actress’s ensemble.

She kept her makeup simple, going for peachy lips, cheeks, and eyeshadow. She had her bangs split in the middle and her hair styled loosely.

On the red carpet, Ortega paused to talk to Jeremy Parsons and Janine Rubenstein from Media and Entertainment Weekly about her life since Wednesday came out the previous year.

When the program first debuted at the end of the year, she claimed that it seemed more like a whirlwind. “I feel like I wanted to stay as far away from the noise and familiar people as I could, and I think that they sort of helped calm my anxiety. I’ve seen a shift in my life, but I believe that because of how much attention I give to my work, the adjustment has gone more smoothly.

With each visit, the budding style icon puts her own unique spin on the latest styles and puts her best foot forward in terms of fashion, as shown when she wore a hooded Saint Laurent dress to Paris Fashion Week in January. She showcased her fashion prowess in the menswear presentation by donning the current backless dress.
