Having been born third to Queen Elizabeth II and Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and second to their son, Prince Charles, he is eighth in line to the British throne and the first in the line not to be a direct descendant of King Charles III.
Early Life
Andrew, who attended a prominent academic institution, trained as a pilot with the Royal Naval College Flight. He went on to become a Royal Navy chopper pilot and later a chopper flying instructor, rising to the rank of captain in the regular navy and rear admiral in the honorary navy.
Prince Andrew served as a navy commander during the Falklands War in 1981. At the month’s conclusion in 2001, Prince Andrew officially terminated his service in the Royal Navy. The honorary captain was his rank as of July 2005.
Throughout the British armed forces, as well as the Commonwealth forces, he has held a number of positions.

Prince Andrew Payments Controversy
Demands have been made for Prince Andrew to explain the $1 million in payments he got from a financier who is now facing fraud claims in the high court.
A Turkish millionaire and the wife of a former major politician paid Andrew £750,000 in 2019. Nebahat Isbilen has alleged in the high court that her financial consultant, Selman Turk, advised her to pay the prince the money in exchange for help with a passport application.
Isbilen alleges she was scammed by Turk of up to £40 million, and she has listed Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, as well as his children, Beatrice and Eugenie, as defendants in the action. This is something Turk strongly refutes.

2005 The former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi is rumored to have met with Andrew thanks to Tarek Kaituni, a Libyan national with a weapons smuggling conviction.
Months before the duke allegedly pressured a British company on his behalf, in 2009, Beatrice celebrated her 21st birthday with a £20k diamond necklace from Kaituni.

October 12th, 2018 Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, a brand spokesperson, are now married. Reportedly, Kaituni was there for the wedding.
2019 May – June The story goes that at Andrew’s birthday party at Windsor Castle, Kaituni introduces Selman Turk to him.
July 2019 The Duchess of York is introduced as a Pegasus ambassador and is paid £225,000 through one of Turk’s companies.
This coming October 2019 As far as we can tell, Turk paid Eugenie a total of about £25,000 in two separate payments. There’s no way she’d admit to knowing Turk or Isbilen, she says.
November 6, 2019, St. James’s Palace hosts the yearly Pitch@Palace event. The audience votes for Turk the winner for his presentation on Heyman AI, a digital bank catering to millennials.
Sunday, November 14, 2019, Andrew’s former assistant, Amanda Thirsk, spoke with Isbilen’s bank and explained that £750k was being transferred to Andrew as a wedding gift for Beatrice. Subsequently, the Daily Mail prints the transcript.
November 15, 2019 Money totaling £750k is moved from Isbilen’s account to Andrew’s personal Coutts account. It was in exchange for Turk’s help in obtaining a passport, she said.
It has been claimed that Andrew pays Turk a visit at his South Kensington apartment on December 5 of this year.

Personal Life
Compared to his older sibling, Prince Charles, Prince Andrew was seen as less of a thinker and more of an athlete. He had a reputation as a womanizer and was called “Randy Andy” for a long time.
The one time Andrew has been married was to Sarah Ferguson, from 1986 to 1996. The public’s attention was riveted on their union, subsequent split, and final divorce.
They welcomed twins, Princesses Beatrice Elizabeth Mary (born August 8, 1988) and Eugenie Victoria Helena.
