The musician remembers an emotional moment when she observed paparazzi trying to photograph her son as they were shooting the cover of British Vogue.
Rihanna has stressed the necessity of respecting her son’s privacy since becoming a mother.
The 34-year-old singer, who recently announced her second pregnancy, discusses keeping her kid out of the spotlight in a cover story for the March issue of British Vogue, where she appears with the 9-month-old and boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
While shooting the magazine’s cover with her kid, the “Diamonds” singer recalled an emotional moment when she heard paparazzi in the distance trying to snap images of her baby boy, who had yet to be revealed to the world.

“It’s the kind of thing you never want to happen,” she explained. “As parents, we get to choose when and how we do this. That’s the end of the narrative.”
“Put me to the wolves. You can do whatever you want with me. But he has no say in all of this “She went on. “We’ve been protecting him so far, and you don’t have my permission to post or sell images of my little child. With that, get the hell out of here.”
Rihanna stated that she then “went right into protective mode” and fled the beach where they were filming to consult with Rocky on a plan of action.
“As if there was no time for wrath. [Rocky and I] went up to the trailer area and sat in the car, discussing and deciding how to proceed. It just seems horrible, like a violation, to us as parents “She stated. “We knew they were making calls and making deals while we were talking.”
Shortly later, Rihanna took matters into her own hands, posting the first official peek at the baby on TikTok. The musician described her first few months as a mother as “legendary.”

“She loves being a mom, therefore this is where her attention is right now,” one source explained. “She’s happier than she’s ever been.”
