Following his defeat, Rune accused his opponent of disrespecting him by approaching him in the locker room and insulting him about his victory. “You can cheer all you want on the court and be happy.” When I win, I do the same thing. But that’s such a horrible fashion choice. Respect each other,” he continued.

“What he says isn’t quite accurate. We were both in the locker room after the game, which is obviously rather large. Due to a large number of players, we were confined to our own section of the room at all times. “Before we left, I took an ice bath, ate some pizza, and listened to music. Holger sat in his dressing room corner. “It’s all a lie how he fabricates the story of me saying “yes” right in his face. It never took place. It’s a complete fabrication. It’s disheartening that he fabricates false information about me.
The match ended with a chilly handshake between the two players, and Ruud believes that what happened on the court should have stayed on the court rather than being dragged through the media. “It doesn’t matter to me if he thinks I’m a cheater who doesn’t follow the rules of fair play; that’s not what matters.
“That’s his perspective, but it’s not right to spread lies about me like this. I truly hope this will be the last time he does something like this. “I appreciate that certain players are more emotional than others, and I am guilty of this myself on occasion. He’s clearly someone who enjoys playing with a wide range of emotions. “It’s not surprising, but it’s unfortunate that he fabricates so many lies against me and my family.”
