Pop diva Rita Ora has revealed that she secretly wed New Zealand director Taika Waititi early this year.
The 31-year-old singer revealed her plans for another lavish London ceremony to Jaime Winstone on his Greatest Night Ever podcast.
Ora has mentioned that her parents’ long-term marriage has served as an example to her. Vera and Besnik have been married for over 30 years.

The British singer posted a photo of Waititi at Egmont Street Eatery with the cheeky caption “birthday boy” during the couple’s August trip to New Zealand.
After starting a relationship in March 2021, the couple reportedly became engaged in June after both partners popped the question almost simultaneously.
In an Instagram photo dump documenting a recent trip to Paris with Waititi, Ora appeared to be showing off a gold wedding band on her finger.
Waititi has two daughters from his relationship with award-winning film producer Chelsea Winstanley, which ended in 2018.
In April 2021, a photo of him and Ora holding hands appeared in a carousel of Instagram photos Ora had posted with the comment “Good moments, memories, strange things on my phone and the ones I love,” sparking rumors that the two were dating.
After that, they were seen together in public places including at the Sydney premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race while Waititi was there filming his next Marvel picture, Thor: Love and Thunder.
Reportedly moving to Sydney in May of last year to be with her Oscar-winning partner, the Let You Love Me singer and her rumored new beau made news when they were spotted kissing on a balcony with Thor actress Tessa Thompson the day after a party.
A source close to the couple told New Idea that Waititi, 46, referred to his 30-year-old partner as “wifey” and “chats about how he’s going to be her first and last husband” while they continued to party for his birthday.
Everyone else treats it as a harmless flirtation, but Rita is hoping he’s serious, according to the insider.
While Waititi is busy with his films Our Flag Means Death and Time Bandits, Rita Ora is working on the Australian edition of The Voice.
