Born Nora Louise Kuzma on May 7, 1968, Traci Lords is an American actor and singer. She entered the adult film industry using a forged birth certificate to conceal the fact that she was two years younger than the minimum age of the majority. Throughout her career, Lords was one of the most sought-after actresses in the adult film industry.
As a consequence of the FBI acting on an anonymous tip that Lords was a minor throughout her time in the industry and that pornographers were spreading and selling these illegal photos and videotapes, individuals responsible for creating and disseminating the recordings were prosecuted. In addition, all but one of her adult videos were deemed child pornographic and outlawed.
Early Years
Nora Louise Kuzma was born on May 7, 1968, in Steubenville, Ohio. Using a phony ID, she entered the adult industry when she was just fifteen years old. When she turned 18, authorities learned she was underage and utilized her case to destroy the pornographic industry.
As a minor, she was viewed as a victim of the industry who was drugged and forced to perform against her will. She maintained her stage name, which was associated with her ‘destructive’ notoriety, although claiming she is attempting to escape her adult history.
Lords eventually became one of the few adult artists to legitimately break into the mainstream. She starred in a number of television series and low-budget films, such as Frostbite, Blade, and Princess of Mars. Lords, dissatisfied with focusing solely on motion pictures, branched out into music, television, and even video games.
She published her memoir “Under it All” in 2003. The book opened at #31 on the New York Times best-sellers list and did exceptionally well from both a critical and financial standpoint. In 2015, she exchanged lives with actress Jackee Harry on the smash ABC reality television series Celebrity Wife Swap.

Earnings:
Traci stated in a 2003 interview that she made a total of $40,000 during the three years she starred in adult films. In her autobiography, published the following year, she estimated the amount to be $35,000. After adjusting for inflation, this is equivalent to $90–$100,000 in current dollars.

Traci’s manager disputes these estimations, alleging that Traci earned $300,000 per year at her height.
