Early Life
Jenny Aiko was born in March 1988 in Los Angeles, California.
She was signed to The Ultimate Group and Epic Records, but she left both to finish her high school years.
She was first known as Lil Fiz’s cousin, but she has nothing to do with him. She recorded her My Name is Jhene in 2003, but the album was never released.
In 2011, her mixtape Sailing Soul(s) was self-released and has 400,000 downloads. In 2013 she released her EP Sail from her Artium and her Def Jam.
The EP sold her over 250,000 copies in the US and reached her No. 2 on her R&B/Hip-Hop chart in the US and her No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Career
Jhene Aiko began her career as a singer and musician in 2002 when she provided vocals for a popular American boy band called B2K Releases and sang in the adventure comedy film The Master of Disguise.
She was managed by her Chris Stokes and signed with The Ultimate Group.
At the time, people recognized her as the cousin of her popular rapper Lil Fizz, but it was later revealed that she had no relationship with him and that this was just a promotional tactic by her label.
She was also featured on track 5 of her R&B her group’s popular album titled B2K The Remixes Volume 1 and recorded a cover of her song titled Santa Baby.
She also appeared on the album titled Santa Hooked Me Up and appeared as a guest vocalist on the song titled Tease from the popular album Pandemonium.
