Naomi Scott, Becky G’s Power Rangers co-star (and Aladdin actor), introduced her to Sebastian in early 2016. Jordan Spence, Naomi’s husband, played soccer with Sebastian at West Ham United in London, and the couple thought Becky and Sebastian would make a good fit.
Becky didn’t think much of it at first. She wasn’t in the appropriate frame of mind for a relationship at the time and had a “been there, done that” mentality. But then Naomi showed her a video of Sebastian, and lo and behold, there he was!
Becky admitted in a Mega 96.3 interview that she tried to ignore how handsome he was, but it just didn’t work. “He came out of nowhere,” she claimed.

After almost seven years of dating, Becky and Sebastian announced their engagement on Instagram on December 9, 2022. The couple posted several adorable pictures of Sebastian getting down on one knee and popping the question on a boardwalk at dusk.

Sebastian, popularly referred to as “Da Boy” by his soccer teammates, was born to Argentine parents on September 3, 1992, in San Francisco, California.
Early on, Sebastian began playing soccer, quickly moving through the levels and showcasing his talent. He went to London in 2009 after being discovered by West Ham United minor league scouts while playing for Santa Clara Sporting as a teenager. Before making his official West Ham debut as an adult player at the age of 21, he participated in preseason friendlies there.

After signing with the L.A. Galaxy in 2015, the midfielder moved back home. He was bought by the New England Revolution in December 2021, and the following year, he was acquired by FC Dallas.

In a World Cup qualifying match against Honduras in March 2017, he scored his first goal for the team. Unfortunately, he was hurt in the same game and had to stop playing soccer for about a year.
Sebastian Had to Heal from His Injury for Almost a Year
Sebastian initially believed his injury to be a simple sprain, but it turned out to be a Lisfranc injury that required multiple operations and several months of recovery. Sebastian claimed that the nearly a year he spent out of commission made him feel like he “was in hell.”
“I was unable to kick a ball. I was unable to run. I couldn’t even walk,” he admitted in a blog post for the L.A. Galaxy. Sebastian was able to return to the field in March 2018 because of willpower, therapy, and Becky G’s encouragement.
