American journalist and television personality Willie Geist was born on May 3, 1975. He co-anchors MSNBC’s Morning Joe and co-hosts Sunday Today. He also serves as an anchor for the weekday and Saturday editions of Today, in addition to being a correspondent for NBC News and NBC Sports.
As a host for NBC’s coverage of the Olympics, the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks, and the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting, Geist is also well-known.

Geist revealed his Parkinson’s condition on a July 1, 2012, broadcast of CBS Sunday Morning. Later, on September 16, 2018, he made his CBS Sunday Morning retirement announcement. Involuntary movements, such as tremors, stiffness, and issues with balance and coordination, are hallmarks of Parkinson’s disease.
Typically, the disease’s symptoms appear gradually and worsen as it progresses. Speaking and walking difficulties may develop when the illness worsens in a person.

What Happened to Willie Geist?
Willie Geist has made substantial contributions to NBC Sports outside of his career as a journalist by covering several sports leagues. However, Geist’s current main area of interest is political news. In addition, Geist has written three books, with two of them, Good Talk, Dad, and American Freak Show, reaching the New York Times bestseller list.
Geist continues to contribute as an Olympic host despite his change to political journalism, which is not surprising considering his enthusiasm for the Games. Sports coverage was the primary focus of Geist’s early career.
